NEW DELHI: India’s double mutant coronavirus is being considered as a new threat to the world but the Modi-led government is not ready accept its responsibility.

According to a report, the double mutant virus is not only spreading fast but also causing a spike in deaths.

The double mutant virus was detected late last year in India but PM Modi had deliberately ignored it.

The Indian-origin virus has so far detected in several countries including Australia, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, the UK and the US.

About 52 per cent of new cases reported in April were caused by the Indian virus. During the past 24 hours, 2,56,000 coronavirus cases had been reported in India.
