Indian troops martyr three Kashmiri youth in Budgam

ISLAMABAD: Indian troops during violent crackdown operation martyred three Kashmiri youth in Budgam district, Wednesday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops killed the youth identified as identified as Javaid Sheikh, Dawood Ahmad and Aaqib Gul in Radbugh area of the district.

An Indian police official claimed that the youth were members of Hizbul Mujahideen and were killed when Indian forces targeted the house they were in.

Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed for the fifth consecutive day in Shopian to protest against the brutalities of Indian troops during nocturnal raids.

Residents of Shamsipora area told mediamen that the troops beat up at least ten persons and one of them was later referred to Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla, Srinagar, for a fracture in his right arm.

“They (troops) beat us ruthlessly without any reason. Are we born to face the brutalities of Indian Army?” said a local villager who was beaten up by the Indian soldiers.

The atrocities of Indian forces in Shopian have been going on unchecked for the past two months during which dozens of villages have been attacked, people beaten and property damaged.
