ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said India has once again sabotaged talks with Pakistan by imposing preconditions.

Talking to media, Asif said Pakistan is serious for talks as it is the only way to settle disputes. However, pre-conditions for resuming the dialogue process are not acceptable.

The Defence Minister said the negative attitude of Modi government is disrupting peace process and fanning tensions in the region to fulfill its nefarious designs.

At the same time, Khawaja Asif said, India is also attempting to weaken Pakistan economically, as is evident from its strong opposition to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

About India’s unprovoked firing on Line of Control and Working Boundary, the Defence Minister said Modi government underestimates
Pakistan and emphatically said that our armed forces are fully capable to protect the motherland.

He said India is backing terrorists in Pakistan but the Pakistan Army with the support of masses is purging the country of terrorists.

The Defence Minister said that Zarb-e-Azb operation is going on successfully and will continue till elimination of all terrorists.
