Indian PM announces to commence cricket series with Pakistan

NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister (PM)Narendra Modi has announced to start Pakistan-India cricket series.

The Indian PM said that they wanted to commence the cricket series between the two countries so that their relations could be improved.

The Indian premier was addressing his party Bhartiya Jantan Party (BJP) parliamentary meeting. He informed his party legislators that the party led government  has decided to kick start cricket series with Pakistan aiming at to normalize relations between the duo.

He said that some legislators of the party had reservations over the test series, so “I am clarifying  today”.

The two countries teams had  last confronted each other in 2012-2013 when the green caps visited India to play three-ODI’s series and the series was held after break of five years.

Because after 2008 Mumbai attacks the relations between the two countries had become tense.

Before this Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan visited the India and met the India cricket board officials , shahryar khan said that Indian board is ready to start Pakistan India cricket series on a neutral venue , The series was expected in December 2015.
