JOHANNESBURG:  India has tried to prevent Herschelle Gibbs, the  former South Africa batsman from playing in upcoming Kashmir Premier League (KPL) starting from August 6.

Taking to Twitter, Gibbs accused that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had tried to prevent” him from playing the Kashmir Premier League.

The South African batsman said that it was completely unnecessary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to bring their political agenda with Pakistan into the equation.

The BCCI is also threatening me it will not allow me entry into India for any cricket  related work, Gibbs added.

Gibbs termed the BBCI threat as ludicrous on his official Twitter account.
