TEL AVIV: A Tel-Aviv-based newspaper on Monday disclosed that India had targeted a cellphone that was earlier in use of Prime Minister Imran Khan by Israeli firm’s malware.

The report has sparked fears of widespread abuses of privacy and rights.
The Israeli newspaper claimed that several Pakistani officials, Indian Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Kashmiri freedom fighters were targeted. It added that even the phone of a judge of Indian supreme court was targeted.

Sources said that India had tried to tap phone calls and messages of the Cabinet members.
