NEW DELHI: India has the highest rate of bribery among the 17 countries in the Asia.
A survey conducted by the Transparency International’s Global Corruption Barometer (GCB) said that the south Asian country has the highest bribery rate of 39 per cent among other 17 countries in the region.
The survey added that the country has also the highest rate of people who use personal connections to access the public services.
The survey was conducted in the 17 countries in Asia which include Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, South Korea, China, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, India, Maldives and Taiwan.
