The illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the killing spree unleashed by Indian forces in the territory was a result of impunity provided to them by New Delhi under black laws.
According to KMS, Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the forces’ personnel had been encouraged by the recent assertion of Indian Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, who had termed the happenings in Kashmir as a war wih pro-freedom camp.
The JKLF Chairman maintained that the protest, resistance and struggle of Kashmiri people were only aimed at getting freedom from New Delhi and Indian leaders by denying this reality were only betraying themselves and their people.”Imposing silence of graveyard by oppressive measures, and not allowing people to mourn the deaths of their kith and kin are the worst form of dictatorship,” he stated.
Yasin Malik said that Kashmir was reeling under curfew and restrictions from last 13 days, people were suffering and scarcity of food items, milk for infants and medicine for injured and patients was on rise.
“At the same time there has been a blanket ban put on internet, mobile phones, newspapers and other means of communication. All this is going on but Indian leaders and their puppets in the territory are in a denial mood, denying even what is going on in Kashmir,” he deplored.
