India commits 178 ceasefire violations this year: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Indians committed 178 ceasefire violations at Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary (WB) this year due to which 19 civilians embraced martyrdom while 80 were injured, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

A group of United Nations’ Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) visited the Line of Control (LoC) near Kotli on Tuesday (today) and obtained firsthand information of Indian high handedness of targeting civil population near line of control.

During this year 11 civilians have embraced shahadat due to unprovoked Indian firing and 29 were seriously injured.

Eight civilians embraced martyrdom at working boundary near Sialkot and Shakargarh and 51 were seriously injured due to Indian unprovoked firing since January 2016.
