ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Parliamentary Leader in the Senate Mushahidullah Khan Thursday reiterated firm resolve of the government to continue unflinching support for just cause of Kashmiri people and said India could not quell Kashmiris with the brutal use of force.

“We want to send a strong message to our brothers in Indian Occupied Kashmir that Pakistan will continue support to their just struggle for right to self-determination,” he said addressing the joint sitting of the Parliament.

“We have firm belief that the day will come when Kashmiri people will be free from Indian yoke. We are with them morally, diplomatically and politically in their struggle,” he said.

The Senator said Prime Minister Muhammed Nawaz Sharif and the government had raised the case of Kashmiri people at all forums including United Nations, Organization of Islamic Countries as well as conveyed the message of innocent Kashmiris to capital of every country.

“We have been raising your voice and shall continue till your demand for a plebiscite is fulfilled,” he stated.

He said the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people was spreading to other parts of India also and today in around a dozen states in India, people were demanding freedom.

He said that India was mistaken to think that it would quell Kashmiris with the brutal use of force as it was third generation of Kashmiri represented by youth like Burhan Muzaffar Wani who were laying down lives for this cause.

“India should think that when its 700,000 force could not subjugate freedom struggle over seven decades. What more it could do than the present violence and violation of human rights where over 100 people have been martyred and hundreds others are injured,” he added.

Mushahidullah said the way the Prime Minister raised the Kashmir issue at the UNGA, was appreciated by not only people of Pakistan but also by Kashmiri leadership and the people in IOK.

“Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Gilani, Asiya Andrabi and other leaders have commended Muhammed Nawaz Sharif by stating that he has taken a bold stance as compared to dictator who was bent upon compromising the Kashmir cause,” he said.

Mushahidullah Khan said the government had provided dossiers about Kulboshan Yadev to UN, OIC and other countries telling them about direct Indian involvement for destabilizing Pakistan.
