In-door wedding ceremonies banned by NCOC

Islamabad: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has placed a ban on the in-door wedding ceremonies to stop spread the rising cases of coronavirus in the country.

The NCOC has put restrictions on the in-door wedding events from Nov 20 to Jan 31 in the wake of the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.

However, the marriage events of upto 1,000 guests are allowed at the outdoor venues in the big cities across the country.

The NCOC has directed that only 50 per cent staff is allowed to work at the government and private offices while the rest of the workforce may work from their homes.

The restriction will be applicable from today Nov 7 to Jan 31 in the big cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi and Hyderabad.

It added that the smart lockdown would be imposed in the hotspots of coronavirus cases.
