Imran should resign to save some of his honour: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Imran Khan should resign and save some of his respect but he is begging to withdraw the no-confidence motion.

According to a local TV, while talking to media outside the parliament, Bilawal Bhutto said that whenever we reach the assembly, Imran Khan will be defeated. He’s telling everyone save my chair but what can anyone do? There is no way out now. The honorable way is for the prime minister to resign.

Bilawal Bhutto said that Imran Khan should stop running away and face us in the parliament. We will count ourselves according to the constitutional procedure.

He warned that if Imran Khan thinks that NRO can be obtained then it is too late now. Imran has caused too much damage to foreign policy, he said.

The PP chairman said that the manner in which he got power was very controversial but the manner in which power was snatched from him is very democratic. We did not knock on the door of any court to remove Imran Khan, he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that the direction of the country will be decided in the vote on the no-confidence motion on Sunday, adding that he would not resign and fight till the last ball.

In his address to the nation on Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that on Sunday the country is starting to decide where the country will go. Those who have been accused of corruption for years, there are NAB cases, the nation has to decide that where the country will I go? I was told to resign. I will fight till the last ball. I will not give up. I want to see who decides his conscience, he said.

If anyone had to decide according to his conscience, he would resign, he said. What message are we giving to the youth today? Even if it hangs upside down, no one will believe that these three people are any ideologues, the prime minister said.

The prime minister told the dissident members that you have to be sealed forever. Neither the people will forgive you nor forget you. Nor forgive those who are handling you, what is the history of the subcontinent? Who were Mir Sadiq and Mir Jafar who enslaved their nation along with the British? They are Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq of the present age, he said.
