KABUL: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government and people of Pakistan wanted to see peace in Afghanistan.
Addressing a joint press conference alongwith Afghan President Ashraf Ghani here on Thursday, the prime minister said that the purpose of his visit was to assure that the government and people of Pakistan wanted to see peace in Afghanistan.
“Pakistan will do all out efforts for the maintenance of peace in Afghanistan,” he told the media.
He said that Kabul was among the best tourist spots in the region during the 1950s and 60s but unfortunately later the incidents of violence rose in Afghanistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said that cooperation with Pakistan was inevitable for the regional progress.
There should be distinction between the positive and negative attitudes towards the freedom of expression, he added.
