ISLAMABAD: In a bid to counter the opposition parties’ anti-government campaign, Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to implement the anti-inflation policy from Monday to bring the prices of edible items down in the country.
In a message posted on his Twitter account on Saturday, the premier said that the government would use all the resources at the disposal of the state to bring down food prices from the coming Monday

He added: “We are already examining causes of the price hikes: whether there is a genuine supply shortage or simply hoarding by mafias; smuggling, if any.”
According to the political pundits, the development has come to counter the pressure being built by the opposition parties announcing anti-government rallies across the country.
