ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed has said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did nothing wrong.

In a statement, Rasheed said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should trust the judicial system of the country when he has filed a petition in court.

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) senator added that the PTI chairman will gain nothing except embarrassment in his protest.

“Khan knows that the prime minister has done nothing wrong. That’s why he does not want the Terms of References (ToRs) to be formed,” he claimed.

The minister also claimed that Tehreek-e-Insaf has accepted that the prime minister did not harm the national exchequer.

“PM Sharif has respected the rule of law even when doing business,” Rasheed said.

He also said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has sent a notice to Prime Minister Sharif but has not summoned him for the hearing of the Panamagate scandal.

“Imran Khan is getting happy on the same notice which has also been sent to him,” the minister added.
