ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will announce verdict of disqualification cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan and PTI’s General Secretary Jehangir Tareen on December 15.

The case was heard by a five-member bench led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza Khan.

During the hearing, lawyer of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Muhammad Khan Daha said that factual difference was found in details of Jehangir Tareen’s nomination papers and his income statement submitted in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The lawyer pleaded the bench to summon records.

CEC said why the records were not submitted at the time of filing reference before Speaker National Assembly? ECP Punjab member also questioned how Speaker NA passed reference to be investigated without proper checking of the records?

On the other hand, reply was submitted from PTI Chief Imran Khan regarding details of his assets and property. After completion of arguments, CEC said verdict of the case will be announced on December 15.
