Imran Farooq murder: Scotland Yard team arrives in Pakistan

Six-member Scotland Yard team to probe Imran Farooq murder and money laundering case, has arrived in Islamabad today (Sunday).

As per details, the Scotland Yard investigation team headed by Stuart Michael will met Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) officials tomorrow (Monday).

The team will also interrogate accused arrested in Dr. Imran Farooq murder case.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Dr. Imran Farooq was one of the founding member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). He was assassinated when in London when he was on his way home on September 16, 2010.

In this regard, The FIA had arrested three suspects — Khalid Shamim, Mohsin Ali Syed and Moazzam Ali — for their alleged role in murder of MQM’s self-exiled leader Dr. Imran Farooq.

While Shamim and Mohsin Ali confessed to their involvement, Moazzam Ali, said to be the prime suspect, was unwilling to come up with a confession.
