ISLAMABAD: Two suspects in the murder case of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq on Thursday recorded their confessional statement before Magistrate.
Khalid Shamim and Mohsin were produced before Magistrate Captain (retd) Shoaib Ali amid tight security. The statement, our correspondents said, was recorded under section 164.
Pakistani security services had arrested three suspects Muazzam Ali, Khalid Shamim and Mohsin Ali in connection with the high profile murder of the MQM leader in London.
Muazzam Ali refused to record his statement before the magistrate. During the hearing, the magistrate asked the suspects whether they were facing any pressure for recording the statement.
Both the suspects told the magistrate that they were under no pressure to make the confessional statement. Imran Farooq was beaten and stabbed to death in London on September 2010.
