LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan on Thursday said the Sharif brothers had turned the country into a police state, while police’s job was to protect citizens.
‘Police is supposed to provide security to the citizens, while Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have made Punjab a police state,’ he said while criticizing the government policies in a media talk in Lahore.
He said he wanted to give the brothers a message that they were playing role of MQM in Pujab.
‘If real murderers of PTI activists are not arrested then offices of police officers would be besieged,’ he said.
