KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) former supreme leader Syed Munawar Hassan has said that the Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) introduced youth to a purposeful life in all eras since its inception.
He expressed these views while addressing a condolence reference at a local club. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the IJT had gifted gems like Matiur Rehman Nezami (Martyred chief of JI Bangladesh), Zafar Jamal Balouch (Researcher)and Merajuddin Khan (Educationist) to the society.
Munawar Hassan was of the view that the students, associated with the party have played their due role beautifully in the fields of education, training as well as preaching.
Terming Nizami, Balouch and Meraj, he urged the alumni of IJT to play their due role in the society effectively.
On the occasion, Prof. Saleem Mughal was discharging the responsibilities of stage secretary. Several former student leaders and JI’s prominent figures, including Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, Dr. Tasneem Ahmed, Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman and others also addressed the meeting.
It was also announced at the meeting that a program of the alumni would be held in Islamabad on November 27, 2016.
