ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has reserved judgment on a petition filed against the election of the chairman Senate.
The Islamabad High Court heard the petition of Yousuf Raza Gilani against the election of Chairman Senate. Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah reserved judgment on the petition.
The lawyer said that the president had appointed Senator Muzaffar Hussain Shah as the presiding officer in the election.
The court inquired whether there was any involvement of the Election Commission in the election of the Chairman Senate. On which Farooq H Naik said in the court that the Election Commission has no role in the election of the chairman Senate.
