IHC bars PTI from shutting down Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued restraining orders to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) from locking down Islamabad on November 2.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui heard the petitions filed against PTI‘s call for Islamabad shut down.

During the hearing, it was asked by the party chief Imran Khan that according to which law he is paralyzing Islamabad on November 2.

No educational institution will be closed while no container will be placed on the roads on November 2, the court ordered.

The court issued notice to PTI Chairman Imran Khan to appear before it on Monday.

IHC had also summoned Secretary Home Minister and Inspector General Islamabad to discuss strategy regarding PTI protest.
