QUETTA: Inspector General (IG) Frontier Corps Balochistan, Major-General Sher Afgan, paid visit to Pakistan-Afghanistan border region Chagai district of Balochistan on Monday (today).
Major-General Sher Afgan visited Chagai and met FC personnel at Qila Kurd check post. He was briefed over security measures made on the border region.
He praised FC officials for bravely foiling terror attack on Qila Kurd check post carried out by terrorists on Sunday (yesterday).
Earlier on Sunday, three security officials were martyred and one sustained injuries following an attack carried out on a check post in Balochistan. The incident took place in Qila Kurd check post situated in Dalbandin city of the province where three security officials were martyred in terror attack while one got injured. Two terrorists were killed in retaliation made by the security forces while others managed to flee from the location. Heavy contingents of security forces cordoned off whole area and commenced search operation.
