LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Siraj-ul-Haq has said that without Kashmir’s independence, tensions with India cannot end and added that for peace in the region it is necessary that the issue be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions.
If the Kashmiris struggle ends, Pakistan will not even get a drop of water as all the rivers come from the valley.
The prime minister spoke of a new option on Kashmir. Basically, he reiterated the narrative of Parvez Musharraf, which is also the wish of the United States and India.
The JI chief expressed these views while addressing a condolence reference in the memory of Shaheed Syed Ali Geelani organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that such statements of our rulers had caused immense damage to the Kashmir cause. A full-time deputy foreign minister should be appointed for the independence of Kashmir, he demanded.
