ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Mian Shehbaz Sharif has challenged Prime Minister Imran Khan to bring a letter to Parliament saying that if foreign interference is proved then he will stand by Imran Khan.

According to a local TV, Shehbaz said this while addressing a press conference organized by the joint Opposition on Monday.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, while addressing a public meeting held at Parade Ground yesterday, claimed that he had been threatened in writing. He said he could also show the letter.

Lal Chand Malahi, a member of the National Assembly from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had earlier said that the prime minister had received the threatening letter on March 7. He said the military leadership and the Foreign Ministry were also aware of the letter.

Meanwhile, PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal has said that if Imran Khan shows the letter of threat to the opposition, we will fight this threat together.

Speaking to Geo News, PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal has offered Prime Minister Imran Khan to show the letter of security threat to the opposition, then the opposition will fight the threat to the state together.

Earlier today, the PPP has made a big offer to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM) if it supports the opposition on no-trust motion.

The joint opposition delegation met the MQM delegation at Parliament Lodges on Monday.

Opposition sources said that the no-confidence motion and political situation were discussed during the meeting.

According to opposition sources, the PPP made a big offer to the MQM if it sided with the opposition.

The sources said that the MQM has also been offered a fair share in Sindh cabinet while administratorship in Karachi and Hyderabad has also been offered.

It may be recalled that a government delegation had met the MQM-P today in which another ministry was offered by the government.
