MUMBAI: The Caribbean top-order batsman Marlon Samuels has fined 30 percent of his match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for using “abusive and offensive language” directed at Stokes in the grand final match at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens Stadium on Sunday.
According to ICC’s code of Conduct offences 13.3, he was fined 30 percent of his match fee for using abusive language.
The man of the match played a crucial cameo innings of 85 runs featuring 9 fours and 2 massive sixes to seal win for West Indies against England in the grand final of World T20 match.
