I sensed more than Musharraf regarding threats to Pakistan: Asif Ali Zardari

Former President Asif Ali Zardari claimed that he sensed more than Pervez Musharraf regarding threats being faced by Pakistan. Zardari alleged that he had spent around five years in prison but ‘the commando’ is not yet agreed to stay three months in jail.

Asif Ali Zardari delivered a warm speech during oath taking ceremony in Islamabad organised for officials from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) here on Tuesday.

The PPP co-chairman threatened that all streets from Karachi to Khyber would be closed if the political party took stand firmly on an issue. PPP raised slogan ‘Pakistan Khappay’ (Long Live Pakistan) after assassination of PPP chairwoman Benazir Bhutto late but everything has its limits, Zardari said.

He said that election would be held again in Pakistan if PPP lawmakers tendered resignations alongside ‘Captain’ of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) but the political party prioritise enhancement of democracy.

Zardari claimed to change political trend of Pakistan and they are waiting for a suitable time. He said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is chairman of PPP. Zardari clarified that he is not power thirsty but having moto to serve the nation.

The ceremony organised for PPP officials from PPP FATA chapter was attended by PPP top brass including chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani, Akhunzada Chataan and various other high-level officials.
