ISLAMABAD: Joint resistance leadership comprising All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has extended the shutdown call till September 29.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest calendar includes freedom marches, rallies and demonstrations in occupied Kashmir while Kashmiri diaspora have also been asked to stage protests.
The resistance, masjid committees of these tehsils have been asked to ensure arrangements for the protest programme.
The joint resistance leadership has urged women to observe Sep 27, as `Women’s Day’.”Assemble and occupy local chowks and centres from Zuhr to Asr in the vicinity of your mohallas, villages and localities; Protest with flags placards and banners with freedom messages and slogans,” they said.
The resistance leaders have urged people to hold protests and observe shutdown across occupied Kashmir on all days except the relaxation mentioned in the programme.
“Public Vehicular movement not to be stopped after 10 pm to 6 am on all nights. Lockdown all the routes entering villages and localities by every means to protect people in general and youth in particular from the raids and arrests by Indian forces and police,” they asked the people.
