HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks rose in opening exchanges Thursday, tracking gains in New York, with energy firms lifted by a rally in oil prices.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 0.46 percent, or 107.71 points to \23,412.68.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was flat, edging up 0.19 points to 3,084.91, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, was also marginally higher, inching up 0.72 points to 2,054.51.
