LAHORE: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced to abolish a two-year degree program.
The HEC has declared all the post-2018 two-year degrees illegal/invalid. Now no college will award a two-year degree of B.A, B.Com and B. Sc.
The commission said that issuance of two-year degrees despite a ban on 2018 was a matter of concern. It urged the universities to immediately stop admissions to such programmes.
The HEC announced that it would not recognise any two-year degree issued after Dec 31, 2018.
