Pakistan team head coach Waqar Younis has apologised to nation over team’s poor performance in ongoing mega event International Cricket Council World Twenty20.
Talking to media in Lahore, Younis said that change can only be brought by improving system, not by suspending a few people.
The head coach said that the authorities need to first identify the mistakes and then provide the solution.
“I have submitted my report to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) fact finding committee, can’t talk about the report in public because I want to solve in house problems internally”, he added.
He said that cosmetic changes won’t help or save PCB as it need to face some facts and make some deep changes and corrections.
“Better domestic cricket can lead to the stunning performance at international level”, he expressed.
“We need to separate politics from game”, he requested.
Earlier, Waqar Younis lashed out at T20 captain Shahid Afridi by terming his behavior as frivolous during the tournament.
