PESHAWER: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced public holiday across the province on Muharram 1st, the death anniversary of Hazrat Umer (RA).
The statement issued by the government said all the governmental organisations, educational centers and business centers would remain closed.
Religious parties would hold congregations, processions, meetings, conferences and other programs in which Hazrat Umer’s life would be highlighted.
This should be noted that the Sindh government a day before has for the first time announced holiday on the same day.
