LAHORE: Great relief for the people, Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has ordered strict implementation of the ban on one-dish at weddings.
The chief minister has directed that the law banning one dish should be enforced across Punjab while the violation would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
Hamza said that violation of one-dish ban law will not be tolerated, the move will bring relief to the common man and white-clad class. Our government is the government of the common man, so we should take every step we can. The common man gets relief.
A high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz in which members of Punjab Assembly Abdul Aleem Khan, Sardar Owais Leghari, Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, Bilal Yasin, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Ramzan Siddique Bhatti, Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police Home Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister attended.
Secretaries of relevant departments and senior officials also attended the meeting. Member Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan and PML-N leader Ataullah Tarar also attended the meeting via video link from Islamabad.
Last month, PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz had sworn in as the 21st Chief Minister of Punjab.
The swearing in ceremony of Chief Minister Punjab was held on the lawn of Governor House for which a large number of guests also participated.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran followed by Naat Rasool Maqbool PBUH. Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf administered oath of office to Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz.
Apart from Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and PML-N Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz, members of the Sharif family were also present to witness the swearing-in ceremony of Hamza Shahbaz.
A notification has also been issued for the swearing in of the new Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz. The notification has been issued by the Principal Secretary to Governor Punjab stating that Hamza Shahbaz Sharif was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Punjab today.
