KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has asked the party workers to focus on welfare activities and to develop a vision for serving local people in wards.

Addressing a party meeting on Monday, the JI chief asked the JI activists to keep their chin up as the polling results revealed that though majority of eligible voters did not turn up to polling stations, the confidence of masses in JI has increased.

Elaborating his stance he highlighted the results of the district South, where the JI secured 59,000 votes, while the Muttahida Qaumi Movement gained 46000 votes.

He also raised the issue of flawed voter lists and urged the party workers to acquire the support of masses to get the matters straight for future.

The JI chief said that the ruling regime must have to change their polices. He was of the view that the decision makers who left Karachiites helpless are not sincere to the city and its citizens.

He pleaded the activists to spread the message and program of the JI among masses and include families as well as individuals into the enclave of the organization so as the struggle for a peaceful Islamic revolution would gain momentum.

He expressed his belief that only a peaceful Islamic revolution would ensure the progress and prosperity with dignity for Pakistan.
