LAHORE: Pakistan veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is likely to be seen in captaincy role once again as newly inducted team Multan Sultans eyeing to rope him in for third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Dunya News quoting its sources said Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene will be the vice-captain of the team whereas Australian player Michael Clarke is a strong candidate for coaching role for the team.
However, Hafeez, who is currently with Champions Peshawar Zalmi, is likely to join the new franchise for the third edition.
One player each from every team and category will be selected for Multan Sultans. It was also learnt that Shoaib Malik was earlier contacted for the captaincy but he refused to supervise new team.
