At least three persons were severely wounded on Tuesday following grenade attack at a private news channel office, Din News, in Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab.
Unidentified assailants hurled a grenade at Din News’ office in Gulberg area of Lahore which injured two police officials and a worker. The attackers easily fled from the location after carrying out the attack.
Police and rescue teams rushed at the incident’s site immediately and shifted wounded persons to nearby hospital. According to police, the attackers left a threatening letter post attack.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and ordered Inspector General (IG) Punjab police for earliest arrests of the responsible persons.
