PESHAWAR: At least 12 persons sustained wounds following a grenade attack carried out in Tehkal Bala area of Peshawar here on Sunday night.
Unidentified assailants hurled a grenade in Tehkal Bala area on Sunday late night which created panic amongst citizens.
Police said at least five persons were injured in the incident. Later, number of injured persons reached to 12. Superintendent Police (SP) Cantt Kashif Zulfiqar confirmed the casualties were resulted by grenade blast while one amongst the attacker was injured by firing of local residents.
Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) called up at the incident’s site while heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies cordoned off whole area.
