KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman on Saturday expressed deep concerns over rising trend of target killing in the metropolis Karachi. He said that assassination has once again started in the metropolis despite visible betterment in law and order situation post action against criminals.
Naeem said that a doctor was assassinated inside his clinic while few day ago an assistant professor Wahidur Rehman was shot dead by assailants.
He said that citizens’ security was most prior responsibility of the government besides removal of impression of insecurities amongst citizens by firm action of the higher authorities and law enforcers. Peaceful Karachi guarantees peaceable and prosper Pakistan, he added.
JI Karachi Ameer urged to make Karachi ‘a city completely free of terrorists and extortionists’ and establishment of true peace by making indiscriminate action against terrorists and criminal elements.
