ISLAMABAD: The government on Wednesday withdrew its petition filed against the Lahore High Court judgement that allowed the PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to travel abroad.
A two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Ejazul Ahsan heard the government petition challenging the LHC verdict. During the hearing, the registrar of LHC produced record of the case.
Justice Ejaz observed that as per record the case was heard removing objections in one day.
He questioned whether the Shehbaz’s case was fixed for hearing as per system or specially admitted?
Later, the government withdrew its petition filed against the Lahore High Court judgement that allowed the PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to travel abroad.
