Fawad says no progress in foreign funding case in ECP

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has claimed that the government will stop the long march by contacting the opposition before March 26.

Talking to a local TV, Fawad Chaudhry said that the debate on the Senate election amendment has been going on for a long time.

He said that if the opposition says so, we can also elect the chairman of the senate by open ballot.

It is to be noted that the government has issued a presidential ordinance for open ballot elections in the Senate and has also filed a reference in the Supreme Court while the ordinance has been declared malicious by the Pakistan Bar Council including the opposition parties.
