ISLAMABAD: The government will recommend to close down schools during the  the National Coordination and Operation Centre (NCOC) to be held on Monday.

This was stated by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood while speaking on a local TV show.

“We will suggest to close schools from Nov 25 during the coming NCOC meeting due to rising number of coronavirus cases,” the minister said. He suggested online education for students in stead of schools. Areas where online education is not possible, students can visit their schools once in a week to take their home work, he added.

It may be recalled that the Sindh education department had proposed not to close the educational institutions as well as not to give holidays in winter.
