Govt to send 51 trade officers abroad to boost economy

ISLAMABAD: After a long delay the government has selected 51 trade officers, tasked to promote export and foreign direct investment, for posting in 36 countries.

Annual cost of these postings is estimated at Rs1.7bn. This is believed to be the biggest batch to get postings through proper tests and interviews. Earlier in 2013, posting like these ones were marred with controversies.
