PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said his government was voted into power to eliminate corruption and establish a system that ensures justice to hapless and vulnerable poor.
He was talking to a representative delegation of Pakistan Bar Council at CM House here on Friday.
The delegation was included Chaudhry Ishtiaq Ahmad, Shuaib Shaheen, Ghulam Mustafa and Abdus Sattar Khan.
Chief Minister said that provision of justice and promoting democratic values were common grounds for which both PTI and lawyers struggled. He said government held lawyer community in high esteem because of the common agenda to establishing true democratic values.
He said that we and the lawyer community have the common aim to stop injustices in the society and eliminate injustices adding that lawyers fraternity was his natural allay and collective efforts of both entities would form a society having the norms of justice, equality, merit and law.
Pervez Khattak said that challenges and obstacles would not weaken his resolve to fight for the poor.
On the occasion, visiting delegation assured fully support to government in its struggle to ensure provision of justice to vulnerable class. —APP
