Govt shouldn’t make Pak-china corridor controversial: Siraj ul Haq

Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Siraj-ul-Haq said a few people have concerns over Pakistan-Chia economic corridor, government should not make the project controversial.

Talking to media after meeting Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Siraj-ul-Haw said Pakistan-Chia economic corridor is Pakistan’s hope of bright future.

This project would bring prosperity to the country but a few people have concerns on the route of project, he said and added government should not make the project controversial.

He said that people of FATA are now displaced, their homes, business, educational institutes were destroyed.

IDPs spending nights under open sky during winter season which is increasing their difficulties but it is so sad to say that government has now taken step back from their given scheduled, he added.

Taking about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the US, he disappointingly said he hoped that the PM would raise Dr Afia’s matter to US President Barak Obama but Nawaz didn’t do it.

Government didn’t concerned with the Opposition parties regarding PM’s US visit, he added.
