Govt should play its role to make consensus on ToRs: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami acting Ameer Liaqat Baloch demanded of the government to play its role to make consensus on Terms of References (ToRs) for Panama leaks’ probe.  

Liaqat Baloch said if the parliament failed to play an affective role for the elimination of corruption, opposition will come on the streets to save democracy.  He said JI will not let the plunderers to seize national treasury. JI will unite the nation to bring the Corruption Free Pakistan campaign to its logical end. He said this while talking to different delegations in Mansoora.

 The JI leader said PM had presented himself for accountability thrice but the government’s team withdrawing from its leader’s stance and creating deadlocks on ToRs.

He said the nation resolved that Panama revelations must be probed. Baloch said JI ready to contact all political parties so as to make consensus on indiscriminate and ruthless accountability but the government will have to start the process.

Later Liaqat Baloch telephoned Pakistan People’s Party leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi and discussed the deadlock on ToRs between the government and opposition.
