KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq visited the family of slain Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) engineer and JI member Saleem Akbar on Monday to offer Fatiha and expressed his condolence.

On the occasion, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise and prayed for the grieved family. He said that the sacrifices, rendered by Saleem Akbar and other PIA employees would not be let go in vein. Instead of eliminating favoritism and corruption, the government is mulling to sale out national assets on the behest of foreign forces.

He alleged that the ruling regime is pursuing the agenda of the International Monitory Fund and the World Bank.

The JI supremo further said that protest, seeking one rights and restoration of national institutions is the basic right of people.
