ISLAMABAD: Government has decided to cut down Compress Natural Gas (CNG) prices by Rs 17.50.
Working paper was ready to submit from oil and gas regulatory authority (OGRA) suggesting 23 percent reduction in CNG prices .
The notification regarding the reduction in CNG prices will be issued as soon as an advice is received from Petroleum Ministry for the measure.
Sources say after declaring gas infrastructure development process unlawful, compressed natural gas (CNG) prices were decided to slash, stands at Rs 16.11 in Sindh and Punjab.
The new prices of CNG would be Rs 55.39 in Sindh and Punjab.
In Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtun khwa CNG prices of Rs 17.63 per kg were likely to be decrease with new price of 58.72.
