Govt-opposition join hands on PIA privatization bill

ISLAMABAD: Government and opposition on Wednesday joined hands on Pakistan International Airlines privatization bill.

The PIA privatization bill will be tabled in the joint session of the parliament on April-11. According to the details, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the parliamentary committee meeting, which decided to sale 51 percent shares of the PIA. The meeting decided not to hand over the administrative control to the share holders. A board of governor will hold the the administrative control of the PIA.

While opposition leader Senater Saeed Ghani has said that the meeting decided to take back all notices against the PIA employees. He said that the government assured them that it would not take any action against the employees.
