LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the government is focusing on constructing affordable housing units for low income groups.
Talking to a delegation of SP Tech Private Limited in Lahore on Saturday, he emphasized that housing is one of the most important human needs.
He said it is related to other social issues like provision of employment, transportation, sanitation, education and health facilities.
The Prime Minister was given a detailed presentation on the technical and financial aspects of low cost housing in Pakistan.
He was informed that country is facing a shortfall of more than three million housing units and demand in urban areas is increasing at a faster pace.
