Govt exempts Gaddafi Stadium from electricity load shedding for Zimbabwe tour

LAHORE: Government has exempted Qaddafi Stadium  from electricity load shedding in wake of  Zimbabwe Cricket team tour and it will be continued at the end of the tour.

Earlier Zimbabwe team have reached Dubai from Harare on Monday morning from where the team will leave for Pakistan after 15-hour stay.

The African team  will reach Pakistan at 2am tonight.

Zimbabwe are set to become the first Test team to tour Pakistan since militants attacked the Sri Lankan team bus in 2009, killing eight and injuring nine including six visiting cricketers.

Both sides will play two Twenty20 internationals on May 22 and 24, followed by three one-day internationals on May 26, 29 and 31 — all in Lahore.

According to Samaa’s correspondent, all streets and markets around Qaddafi Stadium Lahore will be closed till the end of the tour.
